Deleting your Instinkt Exchange account

You can delete your Instinkt Exchange account at any time, from inside the app. Here's how, and what happens to your data.

Delete your account in the app

1. Sign in to Instinkt Exchange.
2. Open Profile from the bottom navigation bar.
3. Scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete account.
4. Type your username to confirm. Your account is deleted immediately.

What is erased

Your email address, username, display name and password are permanently erased, along with your friends, head-to-head rivalries and any challenges you sent or received. You are signed out on every device right away.

What is retained

Instinkt Exchange is a prediction market: every trade permanently changes the price of a question for everyone else. Your trades, positions, play-money transaction records, comments and league messages are therefore kept, but they stop carrying your name — your username, email and profile are erased, what remains shows as an Instinkt user, and your profile page no longer opens. Anything you typed yourself stays as written, so if a comment or message contains personal details, delete it or write to us to have it removed before you delete your account.

No real money is involved

Instinkt Exchange uses play-money credits with no cash value. Deleting your account forfeits any remaining credits; there is nothing to withdraw or refund.

Signing up again

Deletion is final for that account. You are welcome to create a new account later with the same email address, but it starts from scratch — no history, balance or username is carried over.
